Clean Sri Lanka - Green School - JOBA Australia's Bionity Project - Promoting UN SDGs - Planning Meet

The planning meeting was to discuss about JOBA -ISD Collaboration in promoting ‘Green School Concept via Bionity School Principles’ on 19th, 20th & 21st May 2025. The meeting was facilitated by Prof. Dr. John Britto, Founder and CEO, JOBA. Mr. P. Muthulingam and Ms.K.Yogeshwari from Sri Lanka, Mr.Manoharan from Malaysia, and Dr. Magimai, Dr. Alaguselvam, Mr. Drama Selvam and Mr. Eronimus from India participated in the meeting. The meeting was started at 4.30 PM (India Standard Time) and ended at 7.00 P.M.

The inability of Dr. Britto to join the programme physically was informed to the group. The need to ask Mr. Subbarow about his participation was discussed. 

First Day - 19th May 2025

Mr. P. Muthulingam, Executive Director, ISD shared to the group about his positive meeting with the Director, Central Province Education, Kandy, Sri Lanka and his approval to conduct a discussion with the JOBA expert team on the Bionity Project and a discussion with the staff of the ‘Kalaimagal Tamil Maha Vidyalayam’ (TMV), Kandy on 19th May. It was understood that the Director, Central Province Education, mentioned about considering the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ concept of the Government of Sri Lanka. It was decided that the Bionity School brochures will be printed and brought for discussion by Ms. Yogeshwary. It was decided that Mr. Manoharan will prepare a presentation and lead the discussion with the education authorities along with Dr. Magi and Dr. Vallabi on 19th May 2025. The Bionity Projects Parents Manual and the book by Dr. Vallabi will be handed over to the authorities.

After the orientation of Bionity School Projects to the Director, Central Province Education at Kandy, the team would visit Kalaimagal Tamil Maha Vidyalayam’ (TMV) and discuss about Bionity School Project with its teachers. 

After the discussion at the school, the team would travel to Nuwaraeliya after the lunch at Royal Mall, Kandy. By this time, Mr. Eronimus, his wife, Dr. Alahu Annavi and Mr. Drama Selvam would have arrived at Sampath Hotel, Nuwaraeliya. The whole team would meet there for dinner and reflect on the days programme and plan for the second day.

Second Day - 20th May 2025

It was decided to split the group into two for morning session. 

One team (comprising of Mr. Muthulingam, Ms. Yogeshwari, Mr. Manoharan, Dr. Magi, Dr. Vallabi, Mr. Eronimus and Mrs. Eronimus) will conduct a orientation seminar  for NGO leaders, Trade Union leaders and Officers of Public Services for two hours in the morning between break fast and lunch. 

Another team (comprising of Dr. Alagu Annavi, Drama Selvam with ISD staff) would go to Magastota TMV and give an orientation for grade 10 and 11 on Bionity Project, Family University Concept

It was decided to split the group into three for afternoon session.

One team (comprising of Mr. Muthulingam, Mr. Manoharan, Dr. Magi, Dr. Vallabi and Mr. Dhanaraj) will give an orientation on Bionity School Project for the staff of a Sinhala Town School at Nuwaraeliya.

Second team (comprising of Ms. Yogeshwari, Mr. Eronimus, Mrs. Eronimus, Ms. Krishanthi and Mr. Karthik) will give an orientation on Bionity School Project for the staff of Holy Trinity Tamil Maha Vidhyalam, Nuwaraeliya.

Third team (comprising of Dr. Alagu Annavi, Mr. Drama Selvam with ISD staff) would continue and finish their orientation at the plantation school.

The whole team would assemble for dinner at Sampath Hotel, Nuwaraeliya, reflect on the day and plan for the next day.

Third Day - 21st May 2025

The whole team would be observers and guests for the International Tea Day Special event ; Demonstration & Rally at Cinicita Hall, Nuwaraeliya, Hall from 10.00 A.M. to 2.00 P.M.

After lunch at 2.00 P.M. the team will return to Kandy and visit the Dhaladha Maligawa. The team will travel from Kandy to Colombo on 22nd May, 2025.
