JOBA Malaysia - Green Nomad Treks & Tour - St. Leonard Tamil School Scout Club
A nature-based educational tour was successfully organised through a three-party collaboration between JOBA-Green Nomad Treks & Tour - St. Leonard Tamil School Scout Club. The program aimed to cultivate environmental awareness, biodiversity knowledge, and practical nature-preservation skills among young students.
Jungle Survival Skills
The jungle survival skills workshop was conducted by the Scout Coordinators. Participants learned essential techniques for surviving in the wild, including safe navigation, resource utilisation, and safety measures.
Trekking Skills
The trekking skills workshop was led by Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Founder, Green Nomad together with Mr. Prem and Dr. Jackson. Students and participants were trained in basic trekking methods, safety precautions, and the importance of respecting natural habitats during treks.
Biodiversity Exploration & Beach Cleaning.
The biodiversity exploration and beach cleaning was organised by JOBA Malaysia. Participants engaged in observing local flora and fauna, followed by a hands-on beach cleaning activity to instil a sense of responsibility toward environmental conservation.
BIOnity Learning Outcomes:
Students gained practical exposure through the Project5 Bionity 01 My Service initiative, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting.Participants developed an appreciation for nature and understood the importance of preserving biodiversity. Teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills were enhanced through experiential activities.

By integrating nature tours into education, students are empowered to become future advocates for conserving Malaysia’s natural heritage.
