
The meeting was attended by Dr. Peng, Founder of Global Culture Co- Learning, Taiwan, Mr. A.S.Sankaranarayanan, Managing Trustee, NMCT, Coimbatore, Dr. John Britto, Founder/CEO, JOBA, Australia, Mr. Santiago, Development Consultant, Madurai, and Dr. Shoby Bovas COO of NMCT, Coimbatore.
Dr. Britto introduced Santiago, an expert personality with extensive experience in NGO work, particularly in South India. Previously, Santiago worked with Andheri Hilfe, a German organization, supporting local NGOs in South India to clarify their visions, develop skills, and implement projects. He organized conferences, training programs, and provided guidance on NGO management and funding. He is now involved in top-level NGO’s apex meetings and serves as a strategic consultant for JOBA.
Dr. Britto also introduced Dr. Peng, who has excellent connections with European universities, having worked extensively in China, where she successfully handled student recruitment and guided doctoral students. Her expertise facilitated connections between young people worldwide and various universities. Given her international network and enthusiasm. Dr. Britto mentioned that Dr. Peng would be an ideal partner for the proposed Global Academy. With her immense commitment and Mr. A.S.Sankaranarayanan's potential contribution of ideas and funding, Dr. Peng could make this vision a reality.

Financial Aspects - Search for funds, Bringing money into Academy
Mr. A.S.Sankaranarayanan stated that he has connections with a German corporate, Boehringer Ingelheim Medical Company, which plans to visit in March. The company engages in cultural exchange programs, sending new employees as interns to various organizations worldwide for short periods. With operations in 38 countries and multiple manufacturing facilities, they have a significant global presence. He mentioned that he has established contact with the chairperson and inquired whether they would consider providing initial support to help the project reach its take off stage.
Corporates
Before approaching corporates, it was suggested that a concept note be prepared. To facilitate this, it was proposed that a day be allocated for everyone to prepare their concept notes/proposals.
Administrative aspects
Mr. A.S.Sankaranarayanan stated that, regarding the program's logistics, such as student registration and fees, he could provide some details of Weltwaerts volunteer program from Germany they have shared written materials on volunteerism, including information on how they select students for international placements. He suggested sharing these resources with the group.
Google Drive
It is suggested that Dr. Shoby can create a Google Drive and include whatever the resources that we get from Germany.
Website Designing
Dr. Peng emphasised that we need to hire professional to create website However, Mr. Shankar Narayanan suggested alternative options we have got some volunteers from different corporates like Cognizant multinational organisation with global presence, including Taiwan and the US. It is advisable to request volunteers for website designing to meet the needs of NGO. It is suggested to discuss in the next meeting or in personal talk to Mr. Bala, Cognizant on how to go about developing the website and maintaining the website and building the curriculum, Bala can contribute his expertise for free of cost.
