Discussion with Principal & staff team at N/Girls’ High School (National School), Nuwarelia

On 20 May 2025, the JOBA-ISD Sri Lanka expert team, comprising Mr. P. Muthulingam, Mr. Manoharan, Dr. Magimai  Pragasam, and Ms. Manishini, made a one-hour visit to Nuwara Eliya National Girls’ High School, an urban Sinhala-medium school.

The school principal, Ms. H.D.H. Niromali, was briefed on the JOBA-ISD Sri Lanka Bionity Project visit. Following the briefing, she arranged a meet-up session with twenty teachers. During the session, feedback was collected from the teachers regarding the needs and challenges of introducing project-based, family-centred Bionity Projects in their school.

Among the initiatives presented, My Food, My Garden, and My Help were the most appealing to the teachers. However, they highlighted that poor networking and communication infrastructure may pose a significant challenge in engaging parents effectively in the project.
